A respectful dialogue between past and present transforms a former industrial building into a serene, light-filled urban retreat.
Located in the heart of the city, this private residence emerges from the transformation and expansion of an existing building, where architectural heritage and contemporary design coexist in perfect harmony.
The project preserves the original street façade, with its intricate tiled surfaces and historical character, while a new volume unfolds behind it — a serene, minimalist structure that embraces light, nature, and fluid living.
The intervention is defined by a clear dialogue between past and present: the preserved exterior stands as a testament to memory, while the new architecture, organized around a sequence of patios and terraces, opens the house to the landscape and city views.
Inside, the spaces are designed with precision and calm. A restrained palette of materials, generous transparency, and thoughtful detailing create a sense of continuity and balance. Social areas extend fluidly to the garden and pool, blurring the line between interior and exterior.
This house becomes both a refuge and a statement — a contemporary home rooted in history, designed for living with elegance, light, and tranquility.
