A 70’s attic apartment redesigned for light, flow and contemporary living.
This project involves the redesign of a 46 m² one-bedroom apartment located in the attic of a 1970s building in a prime area of Sever do Vouga.
Architecture
Originally, the social area faced east, while the living area opened to the west. The main objective of the intervention was to invert these spaces, enhancing natural light and allowing full use of the adjoining balcony.

A clearly defined box was introduced within the apartment, distinguished by a contrasting colour, to house the kitchen, bathroom, and utility functions. This strategic layout reorganization optimizes spatial flow, improves sunlight exposure, and creates a balanced, contemporary living environment.
